Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam is one of the most sustainable stadiums in the world.

The stadium’s management team decided to go all in on the energy transition and as part of this, they asked Arcadis to design a solar panel array for the entire roof. The installation of the solar panels also necessitated the development of an innovative, large battery storage unit. The electricity generated is also used to provide power to other buildings near the stadium. This project is a leading example of what a supercharged effort to achieve net zero can look like and how it can benefit companies and citizens. Watch this video to learn more.
